Rhian Pownceby Design is a luxury interior design and creative direction studio with an unwavering ability to create unique highly desirable contemporary spaces. We have twenty years of experience delivering tailored interiors and design for private homes and retail stores, as well as luxury experiences.
We recognise that human needs are evolving. The environments we inhabit and spaces we are moving in are more important to us now than ever before. Whether it’s igniting creativity, designing a room around sunlight or embracing inspiring colours to reflect moods, understanding our client’s well-being is at the heart of our design process.
At Rhian Pownceby Design we believe luxury is defined by what it means to the individual person or brand. We tap into that unique expression for each of our clients, designing a scheme that allows them to feel that sense of luxury in their space – whether it be at home, place of work or store.
What makes us stand out is our ability to bring a completely personalised and bespoke design service, interpreting and embracing our client’s aspirations, whilst realising their needs to create spaces as beautiful as they are usable.
Before establishing this studio in 2019, our founder Rhian held creative roles across some of the world’s foremost luxury fashion brands including Ralph Lauren, Paul Smith and Anya Hindmarch. She also partnered and collaborated with well-known institutions such as Colette, Selfridges and Lane Crawford.
Rhian has worked internationally across all elements of creative direction including store design and interior design, 3D pop up design, fashion week show production, styling and large luxury events in some of the world’s most beautiful and iconic spaces such as the Beaux- Arts in Paris, Casino de Madrid, Abbey Road Studios in London and Highclere Castle the home of Downton Abbey.
Sustainability, fair trade and supporting bespoke independent producers are important considerations for us. We strive to embrace these elements within our projects, and work to heighten awareness of key issues in the industry, keeping the conversation timely and relevant.
